Is the club open to anyone?
Yes the club is completely open to the general public. You can come along to one of our club nights and see if its for you.

How do I come along to an event?
Firstly you should contact one of our committee members and express your interest to join. Then its best to come to one of our club nights and get to know a few of us.

What is the average age of members?
This varies slightly from month to month but currently the figure is somewhere between 26 and 45. The average age of members attending our more energetic outdoor and adventure events will be below this, whilst the average age of members attending certain other events will be older.

I am rather nervous about coming on my own?
The vast majority of our members including myself joined the club not knowing anyone. It may seem daunting to come to one of our club nights on your own but you will certeinly be looked after by our committe members on the night who will make you feel at ease.

What sort of events does IVC offer?
IVC offers everything from Bowling to night clubs, hiking to sailing, bridge to backgammon, weekends away to foreign holidays. There is an abundance of activities and social events to choose from.

Do I have to be a member to attend IVC events?
Not necessarily, you can attend some events as a non-member although very often the ticket price is higher for non-members.

Who runs the club?
Collectively the members do! We have a committee team but by far the biggest contribution comes from our members. Many members give their time freely but nobody is pressurised into doing anything they don't what to. Who knows, you could be hosting events of your own in the very near future!
